My name is Martin Lawson. I have been a keen hill walker and climber for many years now. In July of 2002, I decided to make my passion into a career and became a full time outdoor instructor. I work mainly in a freelance capacity allowing me to constantly increase my knowledge and experience in a wide variety of outdoor disciplines. My work ranges from working with children, both primary and secondary, through to mountain tour guide and management training course facilitator. On my CV page, you will get a full list of my qualifications and certificates. In the organisations area, you will see most of the places I have worked for and a short resume of what they do and details of my involvement with them.
The purpose of this site is to provide anybody interested in the outdoors, access to useful sites t o specific information and governing bodies as well as a more personal account of recent events I have been involved with.
Planning a day trip or week long adventure? Take a look at the discussion forum. Use this area as a central point to organise trips etc. Post your questions to myself or the many users who use the forum. Whether it advice on the correct kit to take on the hill through to current access rights and legislation. Feel free to express an opinion on the current topics up for discussion as well. Or even better post you own subject to discuss, the more controversial the better!!!
If you have recently been on a trip or course with myself, then visit the diary page, there you might see yourself and your fellow companions. You can show your friends and family proof of your achievements.
During the summer I will be providing courses on the following:-
There will be more information on these and other courses shortly. Please set this in your favourites and keep dropping in to see what new.
